What happens in a session?
The frog secretions are scraped from a wooden ‘Kambo stick’ and applied through small and very shallow burns (sometimes known as "gates") on the surface layer of the skin.
Initially, the body temperature heightens and the heart rate increases. This usually lasts for around five minutes. After this, the blood pressure drops and you may feel a little faint. It's during this time that the "purge" begins - where the body begins to release stored toxins.
The session itself lasts around 30 minutes. Afterward, people occasionally feel tired and need to rest for a little while. Other times, people feel immediately full of energy and feel the sensation of the "Kambo glow".
The Kambo we use comes from the jungles of Brazil and Peru, and is harvested respectfully.
No frogs are harmed during the process of obtaining Kambo.
How does Kambo work?
The secretion contains a number of peptides that work together to create effects within the body. Some of the key peptides that have been identified within Kambo are as follows:

Phyllomedusin: produces contraction at the and increases secretions of the entire gastrointestinal tract such as the salivary glands, stomach, small and large intestine, pancreas and gallbladder. This is responsible for the deep purge which can occur with Kambo.

Phyllokinin and Phyllomedusins: open the blood-brain barrier, allowing these peptides and others to enter the brain. These also work as powerful antimicrobials and antifungals.

Dermorphin and deltorphin: work on the opiate receptors in the brain, creating a painkilling effect. They are 4000 times more powerful than morphine.

Sessions take place in your own home. Arron is based in Leeds and operates throughout Yorkshire, but can recommend reputable practitioners in other areas across the UK and Europe if required.
Sessions cost £150 each, and often one session is enough to experience the benefits of Kambo. If you would like a full treatment of three sessions within a month, the cost is £380.
A non-refundable deposit of £25 is required to reserve each appointment, with the balance payable on arrival at the beginning of the session.
